ABOUT THE E.A.B.I.C.

Reach for the stars Of equality and justice

Since the formation of the Ethiopia Africa Black International Congress (E.A.B.I.C.) in 1958 by the Rt. Hon. King Emmanuel Charles Edwards, the Congress has raised its standard in the agitation and work of Freedom Redemption International Repatriation. The work of the E.A.B.I.C. has spanned the globe in contacting the Queen of England, the United Nations (UN), along with heads of government worldwide, in its agitation for the Freedom Redemption International Repatriation of the poor and have-nots, the black world of people. The work and agitation continue through prophecy and history, Micah 4, Joel 3, and Isaiah 43. Every man and woman to return to their own vine and fig tree (Universal Declaration of Human Rights 1-15-30).

SUMMARY OF THE FORMATION OF THE EABIC

On March 1st, 1958, the Hon. King Emmanuel Charles Edwards led a 21-day convention at 54B Spanish Town Road in the area known as Back O’ Wall (now known as Tivoli Gardens). On this occasion, he had gathered 3,000 people and the purpose of the convention was to agitate for our human rights of returning to our birthland where our navel string was first cut, Black Ethiopia, Black Africa, the land where all gods and goddesses love to be.

On the third day of the convention, the then British governor of Jamaica, Sir Kenneth Blackburne, came to observe the convention. He stayed in his car and watched what was going on, as he had heard that Black people were forming their own government. Jamaica was still under governor rule. Therefore, on March 1st, 1958,  King Emmanuel established the poor people government, the E.A.B.I.C., before Jamaica formed its own false government on August 6th, 1962.

During the entire convention, Nyahbinghi drum sound was played and many topics were reasoned on. One of the topics was that Rastaman and Rastawoman needed to have their own identity. King Emmanuel explained to them that the turban should be our identity, for this is our tradition. Some took heed to his words and some did not.

At the end of the convention, some of the people who were gathered started to demand immediate repatriation and headed for Victoria Park (now known as Saint William Grant Park). Some of them were hostile and a statue was damaged in the park. This led to severe police brutality. Most people fled away, but King Emmanuel did not for His conscience was free from all wrongdoing. It was said in the newspapers that the Hon. King Emmanuel was beaten to a pulp and pronounced dead to be taken to the morgue, but surprisingly the Lamb that looked as if He were slain yet lived.

Following this event, King Emmanuel and His disciples returned to 54B Spanish Town Road. A few years later, the camp at Back O’ Wall was bulldozed by Edward Seaga and Joe Williams, which led to the Hon. King Emmanuel sojourning to Harris St., Greenwich St., Davis Lane, and other streets of Spanish Town Road. Everywhere He went, the Hon. King Emmanuel Charles Edwards faced harassment and oppression. Eventually, the Hon. King Emmanuel Charles Edwards established himself at 10 miles Bull Bay, on the northeast side of Wareika Hills, ten miles from the bloody city of Kingston heading east, watching Babylon run red hot. The Mighty God of the Israelites. Holy King Emmanuel the 7 Adonie I God Jah Rastafari!
